Brew Info:
- Brewery: Proper Brewing Company (Salt Lake City, Utah)
- Website: http://www.properbrewingco.com
- Brew: Yacht Rock Juice Box Juicy IPA with Guava
- Style: American India Pale Ale (IPA)
- Serving: 16 ounce can
- ABV: 5.0%
- Pour: The Yacht Rock Juice Box pours a hazy golden-orange hue with a 2-finger, frothy and creamy, bright white head with good retention and lots of soapy lacing.
- Nose: The nose of the Yacht Rock Juice Box is very fruity, citrusy, malty, and slightly spicy. There are aromas of freshly sliced guava, grapefruit juice, orange juice and zest, tangerine, lime, lemon zest, light pineapple, mango, toasted caramel, light pine resin, and a hint of white pepper.
- Taste: Like the nose, the taste of the Yacht Rock Juice Box is citrusy, fruity, and malty. There are notes of fresh guava, orange juice, grapefruit juice, tangerine, lime, light pine, flowery hops, biscuit, caramel/toffee, and a little pepper in the finish.
- Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied and moderately carbonated, the mouthfeel is juicy, crisp, and slightly bitter with a dry, fairly clean finish.
Overall pairing: The Proper Yacht Rock Juice Box Juicy IPA with Guava is a fruit-forward, yet complex and hoppy brew, perfect for a mellow Sunday with the art pop brilliance of 10cc's "Look Hear?"! I also thought the beer label colors and the color of the brew itself look pretty good with the album cover artwork.
Cheers!!
