  • Brew: Hefeweizen
  • Style: Bavarian Hefeweizen
  • Serving: 16 ounce can
  • ABV: 5.4%
  • IBUs: 15
  • Pour: The Butcherknife Hefeweizen pours a hazy golden amber with a half-finger, fizzy bright white head that dissipates to a thin ring with minimal soapy lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is fruity, spicy, grainy, and malty.  There are aromas of German yeast, soft banana, cloves, nutmeg, fresh baked wheat bread, and toffee.
  • Taste: The taste follows the nose with lots of fruit ester, spices, and malty goodness.  There are notes of banana, cloves, light nutmeg, freshly baked honey wheat bread, and soft caramel.
  • Mouthfeel: Light to medium in body with moderate carbonation, the mouthfeel of the Butcherknife Hefeweizen is very smooth with a dry and slightly sweet finish.
Overall pairing: The smooth, sweet, fruity, spicy, and malty flavors and aromas of Butcherknife's great Hefeweizen is the perfect brew to pair with the '60s grooves of the tracks on Smith's "A Group Called Smith"!  Those big banana and spice notes really compliment the sultry and powerful vocals of McCormick while those malty notes go great with the pop sensibility of the band!

Cheers!!  Have a beautiful day!!
