  • Nose: The nose is malty, bready, nutty, and earthy.  There are aromas of toasted dark bread, roasted hazelnuts, roasted chestnuts, brown sugar, hints of cocoa, a hint of coffee beans, and burnt toffee.
  • Taste: Well-balanced, the taste of the Mischievous Brown Ale follows the nose with lots of malty, bready, and nutty flavors.  There are notes of doughy dark bread, sweet biscuit, roasted hazelnuts, walnut, molasses, brown sugar, a hint of cocoa, and soft caramel/toffee.
  • Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied and moderately carbonated, the mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with low bitterness and a dry, clean finish.

Overall pairing: The nutty and malty flavors and aromas of Helltown's Mischievous Brown Ale make it a great brew to throw back whilst banging your head to Dismember's fantastic "Like An Everflowing Stream"!  Those sweet malty and bready notes go great with the overall complexity of Dismember's sound, while the dark color is great for the dark elements of the songs.  'Nuff said!

Skål!!  Hails!!
